Spring Time :: Date Night Dresses

Spring is here and it is the perfect time to go on outdoor dates and rooftop lounges and do all the stuff we all long to do all winter and jump on as soon as the weather warms up. With warmer weather come more options for date-night activities, and after being indoors mostly all winter, I am so ready to add some variety to my Friday night outfits . A new season of dating activities means more outfit opportunities, and I am not sure what am I more excited for: the actual date or the getting dressed up part.

The big question we all face? What to wear.

The what to wear on date night struggle is real and a new season requires a new plan. I’ve chosen body-con dresses with floral patterns to bring out the confident femininity. Also since the temperatures are yet to be quite warm I have particularly chosen these dresses with sleeves and I wear them with toe-less tights like this to give it a layer of warmth for the changing season. 1.This gorgeous green leaf print dress or Foliage dress as it is called is one of my favorites this season, I love the colors that it displays and more significantly the leaves. I paired this dress with neutral colors because they are really easy to pair with busy patterns without overpowering or taking away from the main print. With busy prints I keep the accessories and their colors to a minimum.

2. Floral prints are vast and indefinite. Choosing one that is flattering and complimentary to your body and style is essential and the choices are infinite. I prefer the host background color of the pattern to be slightly darker especially if it is a body-con dress because the darker palette give you a more tailored and tapered look and the illusion of being slimmer. I prefer pairing my floral dresses with neutral or nude colors. Neutral colors such as black compliment floral patterns and ensure the print is balanced and in harmony with your style.

3.If you’re feeling like a diva and want a more edgy outfit ditch the neutral colors and go for some bright colors. In this outfit I have paired a solid colored dress with floral pumps which add texture and depth and give your look a more fashion savvy polish. Shoes have the power to make or break your floral outfit so choose wisely.
