Celebrating Valentine's Day in the color of love :: Red

Valentine’s Day- The most romantic day of the year is here and like all holidays I can’t resist dressing up for the occasion. The wardrobe options are endless and it being Valentine’s Day adding Red into my look is a must.

I like to believe that whether you’re coupled or not, February 14th is a day to celebrate love of every kind.So whether or not you’ve been shot by cupid’s arrow, take this opportunity to break out of your all black everything winter routine and infuse your wardrobe with a healthy dose of color. Most especially? Red ! You can go head-to-toe bold by wearing it all at once, or sprinkle just a dash of rose, blush, wine, or cherry into your Valentine’s Day outfit.To ensure I don’t look like I jumped out of a Hallmark card I have a few tips on how I choose to incorporate Red into my Valentine’s Day outfit.

1. The Red Coat:

When it comes to looking chic and bold, a red coat is definitely a perfect choice. I wore a red coat with a black jumpsuit to give my outfit a pop of color and paired it with high heels and a black shoulder bag.

2.The Red Skater Dress:

The skater dress is defined by a fitted top and a flared skirt shaped dress. It is one of the most flattering and best dresses to own . I have paired red shoes with a dress that has patterns that have traces of red in them. Matching your shoes to your handbag is old school and I like it that way it’s really up to you to choose to pair your shoes with your bag or not. Don’t hesitate to experiment.

3.The Red Lace Top:

Lace is romantic ,timeless and versatile and pretty. When worn with the right accompanying pieces they can provide the basis of a chic evening look. I have paired this lace top with black skinny jeans high heels and a black statement bag.
