It’s time for the one last big event of the yearNew Year’s Eve, the night you’ll be saying goodbye to the year that was , and welcoming a new one in style. If there’s one night to go all out and turn on the flash , it’s undoubtedly this one. If you’re staying in or going to a decidedly low-key celebration , you still want to look festive. Party season means party dressing a dash of sparkle makes any outfit instantly New Year’s worthy. So it’s only fitting that you want to dress your best for the big occasion. Even if it’s fairly mild in the afternoon of New Year’s Eve, the temperature is bound to drop as Midnight approaches, so be prepared. As we all prepare for New Year’s Eve, I decided to dive into my own wardrobe to give you some inspiration for what to wear to all the upcoming festivities. If you still find yourself in need of a last-minute outfit idea, you’ve come to the right place. Keep scrolling to kiss 2017 goodbye in style.

Since it’s the holiday season there are plenty of dresses out there with glitter and shine! Do not hesitate to experiment with it.Don’t feel like sparkling, but still need a little something extra to get you out of a cold weather slump? The key is to balance the shine with monochrome accessories. I chose a striped dress in a ladylike silhouette with fun high heels.I picked this glitter striped dress out because:

  • It has sleeves!
  • It’s the right length
  • It’s not too glittery

I paired it up with sharp black heels with blue stockings to keep my legs covered and a fuzzy knit Sweater to keep warm.To give an extra edge to the outfit I am wearing my all time favorite watch and bag.
