Deciding what to wear for Christmas is no easy task.Whatever your traditions, it’s always nice to pick a stand-out outfit to mark the occasion and there’s no better excuse to make a festive style statement. It’s hardly surprising that we can be left struggling for inspiration and it’s slightly ironic, that we often try to avoid wearing red in December even though it’s the color that represents Christmas the most. We’re so worried about being compared with Father Christmas himself that we stow away our red pieces until after the 25th of December, when you can be sure that you won’t attract unwelcome attention.
I on the other hand am very excited when it comes to wearing red on holidays. I’m all about dressing for the theme, and I’m a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas colors mainly red and green.Holidays are about color and cheer and what better shade to represent the joyous holiday than Red.
Here is my favorite outfit I’ve styled recently that would totally work for Christmas Day or any other family gatherings this time of year.
I chose this burgundy knit dress for Christmas Day mostly because it can be worn from day to night without getting too warm indoors or too cold outdoors and paired it with a matching and super warm wrap cardigan to give the outfit an edge over a traditional winter coat and brown chunky heel fold over booties.Since this dress is one solid color it’s nice to pair it up with a layered necklace to highlight the neckline a bit more, also a fold over clutch bag looks chic .It is essential to keep your head and hands covered while going out in winter and I love the idea of pom pom beanies (They are so cute!) and prefer to match my beanie and gloves.I am also wearing sheer tights to keep my legs warm.
